Making Room
For the past few years, Nomadic Fiori has grown in and around Bella Sera Farm.
Flowers move from the fields into the studio. Ideas are sketched at the kitchen table. Bouquets are made wherever there happens to be enough room. Workshops, photoshoots, dinners and collaborations spill into barns, gardens and fields.
We've become quite good at making space where there isn't necessarily space to begin with.
But lately, we've been thinking about what it would mean to make a room for it all.
So, we're building one.
A Studio at Bella Sera
We are in the process of creating a new Nomadic Fiori studio here at Bella Sera Farm - a space dedicated to gathering, making and creating.
It will be a working floral studio, certainly. A place for buckets of flowers, long tables and the beautiful mess that comes with making things by hand.
But we want it to be more than that.
A place to host workshops and gatherings. To invite artists and makers to the farm. To experiment with botanicals, arrange flowers, photograph things, share meals, teach, learn and occasionally make something simply because we're curious about what might happen.
We imagine long tables covered in flowers and half-finished projects. Doors open to the fields in summer. Coffee brewing while we work. People arriving with ideas and leaving with something they made - or perhaps just a new one.
Like most things at Bella Sera, we want the studio to feel connected to the land around it.
Not overly precious.
A working space. A gathering space. A place where things can get dirty, ideas can change and creativity is allowed to wander a little.
Right now, though, it is still very much a work in progress.
There are decisions being made, materials arriving and plenty left to finish. We are slowly watching the space take shape and figuring out what it wants to become as we go.
So this isn't the studio reveal.
It's the beginning.
We'll share more from inside as walls go up, worktables find their places and the details begin to emerge.
For now, we're simply making room.
For flowers. For people. For ideas.
And for whatever comes next.
