Long before flowers bloom and bouquets are gathered, the quiet work of the soil is already underway. Living soil is where roots form, where microbes and minerals meet, and where the conditions for beauty slowly take shape.

Story Garden Soil Blend was created from the same philosophy we use in our own fields: that healthy soil is the beginning of every thriving garden.

A living soil blend designed to feed the soil, not just the plant.

The blend combines rich worm castings for soil life, mineral-dense basalt rock dust to replenish the earth, kelp meal for trace nutrients, and gypsum to help support strong soil structure. We also include wool pellets sourced from local sheep farms. As the wool slowly breaks down, it releases natural nutrients while helping the soil retain moisture and support steady plant growth.

Together, these ingredients nourish both plants and the living ecosystem beneath them.

Story Garden Soil Blend is designed for the small gardens where many stories unfold—backyard beds, raised gardens, balcony containers, and cutting gardens planted with care. It pairs beautifully with our Bouquet Garden seeds, helping gardeners create a small patch of flowers they can gather throughout the season.

Directions:
Potting Soil:

• Mix into your potting soil at a ratio of 1part soil blend to 4parts potting soil - blend thoroughly before planting

Existing Plants:

• Sprinkle a thin layer over the soil surface using 1-2 Tbsp per medium pot - gently work into the top layer and water well.

When to Apply:

• at planting
• at the start of the growing season
• every 4-6 weeks during active growth

Important:

• Do not use on its own - always mix with soil
• Suitable for indoor and outdoor plants
• Store in a cool, dry place

Ingredients:
Worm Castings:  rich in natural nutrients and beneficial microbes that support healthy, living soil.
Organic Kelp Meal:  provides trace minerals and natural growth stimulants to strengthen plant development.
Micronized Basalt (Huplaso):  a mineral-rich rock dust that improves soil structure and replenishes essential nutrients.
Sheep Wood Pellets:  a slow-release source of nitrogen that helps retain moisture and support steady growth - sourced from a local sheep farm
Organic Gypsum:  improves soil structure and drainage while adding calcium without altering soil pH.
